Another donation agreement was signed on the 12^th of October at 5.00pm at the ABM auditorium, with the presence of the Regional Secretary for Economy, Tourism and Culture, Mr. Eduardo Jesus.

The private library collection belonging to the Madeiran writer João França was now officially handed over to the Region by the hand of the writer’s nephew Mr. Ivo Sinfrónio Martins.

The archive and library collection by João França gathers 1544 books, 6 edition titles and 28 installation units (27 folders and 1 box) comprehending personal documents, and others, related to his literary and journalistic work.

At the event also took place the public presentation of the book: “Dramaturgia de João França” by Élvio Camacho. The work, released twenty years after the death of the Madeiran writer, reveals his playwright profile by assembling 14 theatre plays, 10 of which unpublished until now.
