As from now the Arquivo Regional e Biblioteca Pública da Madeira (ABM) holds part of the personal library collection that belonged to the Portuguese teacher and author António Marques da Silva and donated by his son António Ribeiro Marques da Silva.

The collection by António Marques da Silva (1900-1978) assembles 62 monographs dated from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, mostly in English, on the History of Europe, America and Portugal, among which ABM highlights the History of England by David Hume.

The documents will be available for consultation, after due documentary treatment.
